Is there any way to get past the region lock?

I saw that there was a guide for how to make a region switch on the GameCube to get past the region lock and I wonder if there is anyway to do the same on the switch.

try going to system settings then go to system and you might be able to change the region in there

I will try that but if I remember correctly from what I have read its hardware locked not software.

are you sure there is a region lock on it as i can see from another page that nintendo were making it region free
