Mac won't turn on

  • My Macbook Pro’s charger is broken and it had no battery life left. So I tried to fix the charger but while I was trying to fix it I held the power button on the Mac but the “needs to be charged” icon doesn’t appear

. It’s just a blank dark screen. Is this normal? Maybe it’s because it doesn’t have the power to show the icon but I’m not sure.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

If after replacing the charger as @mayer recommended the system still won’t charge the battery, I think you’ll need to replace the MagSafe DC-In Board as you may have damaged it when your tried fixing your MagSafe charger cord. Here’s the IFIXIT guide to get to it: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Late 2013 MagSafe DC-In Board Replacement and heres the needed part: MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2013-Early 2015) MagSafe 2 DC-In Board
