audio jack and lightning not working after screen and battery replaced

Hi,

I’ve replaced the screen and the battery of an iPhone 5C using iFixit parts and the audio jack connector stopped working after reassembly and the phone stopped charging.

The screen color looked a bit odd (whitepoint seemed a bit blue) but I wasn’t suspecting anything wrong since there were no colors missing or black bars across it. Now it turns out touch input is a bit flaky.

Should I return the screen? What about the dock and jack connector could it be a reassembly mistake?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Aftermarket screens will never look quite like the original including higher quality parts like Ifixit offers. However, if you’re having touch sensitivity issues I’d ask for a replacement, defective parts happen.

Sounds like one of two things happened the most likely being the dock connector to the logicboard got unplugged. The other option makes much less sense as you don’t remove the dock during either of those repairs but it is possible that you’ve damaged the dock and need to replace it. I’d check to make sure it’s plugged into the logicboard
