Does the Motherboard need a paired optical drive?

Looking to purchase a Ps4 pro motherboard but i’ve noticed that the regular ps4s models need a paired optical drive. Does the Ps4 pro require one as well?

No, they don’t need a paired optical drive. They made this change on the PS4 Slim and Pro models.
