removing the microphones only

I read online that it is possible to physically disable or remove the mics off of iphones. I want to do this with my iphone 6s plus, however every store I’ve called said that this would render the phone useless as the mics are attached to several essential components. I see that there is a teardown guide but I am a novice and would need more experienced hands. Is there a way to remove the mics while still leaving other essential (besides front camera) components intact, or am I wasting my time.

Answer this question I have this problem too

The Microphone is part of the Lightning Cable Assembly, which is also linked to the Audio Jack, and other items.

If your mic is damaged, thus you wanting to remove it, why not just get a new assembly and replace it?

You can always try and snip it off, however I also would not recommend that.

Apple has this way of having all components working as one, so if something is off/damaged the entire device goes into shock and some thing just don’t work the same at all.
