Worth it to get a new computer or no?

Hey guys,

So a week ago I threw a pool party and had some friends over and set aside my beer next to my computer.

Next thing I see is my beer tipping over and splitting drops onto my trackpad and keyboard.

Instantly, I wiped everything off and continue drinking too drunk to care about the importance of getting the liquid fully out (turning my computer off and facing it upside down).

The next day my computer is messed up jittering and all that stuff and so I open it up and start cleaning the trackpad installed it back. When I turned it on I got the three beeps and found out that my RAM was messed up.

I bought 8 GB RAM installed it and then tried to log in but the keys for my password weren’t working either so I tried to open I up the computer from the back and get to the keyboard but I couldn’t get passed on screw that just wouldn’t open. And along the way I ripped a wire by accident that didn’t come out of its wedge and kinda electrical taped it back together.

Anyways so my question is after reading all of this. Is it worth it to spend the money for a new computer or just buy a new trackpad and keyboard to install and enjoy my extra RAM?

What if i install everything and I still have problems?

I need advice from you genius’s please!

Answer this question I have this problem too

There is a point when its wiser to make the jump to a new system. I think you’ve hit that point.

While its possible to fix the damage parts by replacing, the beer is a the worrisome part as over time it will corrode things so if you haven’t fully cleaned it out it won’t last much longer. Then this is an older Core2Duo based system so newer OS’s won’t work all that well.
