4,1 MacBook 2.4ghz swap to 5,x series MacBook? And, better Trackpad?

4,1 MacBook 2.4ghz swap to 5,x series MacBook? And, better Trackpad?

Hola.

I am kinda curious to the technical aspects of swapping the current logic board in my 4,1 Black Macbook to one of that one of the newer 5,x series or maybe one of the even newer unibody MacBooks. Simply stated, can it be done? For reference, my MacBook is the early 2008, 2.4ghz last 4 digits on my S/N are A0P2.

Also, unrelated sort of; possible if i were to get one of the newer glass trackpad housing, would it be plug/play, or are they diff connectors and what not? I gather they're integrated into the upper keyboard housing... so, swappable? This is assuming an adequate bank. (Not to say I have such a thing. This is more of a "what if" sort of thing.

Ultimately, i'm dreaming of making the "ultimate black mac book" with today's hardware.

Danke for all those who may have an answer.

Without a custom paint job, you're as advanced as you can get right now.

If you really want a hot black mac, first go get this one: http://store.apple.com/us/configure/MC72...

Then send it to some place like this for a custom paint job: http://www.smoothcreations.com/pilot.asp...

or you might be able to get it anodized, or do it yourself, here's how: http://www.focuser.com/anodize.html
