"Searching" problem fixed upon reinserting the screen. Root cause?

Recently dropped my iPhone 6 and the screen broke. Took it to a shoddy repair service across the street and in a couple of hours the phone was constantly looking for reception. The repair guy wouldn’t help me so I went back to the lab and unscrewed the screen.

I get signal now and the problem is solved- at least for now. What might be the root cause behind the problem? I want to make sure it doesnt happen again when I dont have screwdrivers with me.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Was it stuck on searching or getting stuck on searching the no service?

If it was the former this can be caused by the iPhone’s housing being bent making the logic board bent as well.

If it was the latter it may be just one or more antenna cables not plugged in properly such as the one right near the battery connector.

Im not sure what you mean with the latter. Did you mean to say first its searching and then it says no service after a while? Because thats what happened in my case.

Yeah that's what I meant with the second one, that points to a no reception / signal issue which can be caused by an antenna cable not being plugged in as said before.
