Problems after screen repair at the mall

My iPhone 7 Plus was replaced due to a cracked screen. I took it to the mall to get it repaired and not long after they fixed it my phone has been going in and out of a black screen. Would you know what it is? I’d like to try and fix it myself.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Maybe it is happening because due to a cheap LCD screen. The second thought is if the frame of phone is bent maybe it damaged the new LCD. I highly recommend you to go back.

Flickering/flaky LCD is a surefire sign of either a low quality display or a shoddy repair.

There are exceptions to every rule, but I’ve never seen good repair work come out of those mall places.

From everything I’ve seen, they use bottom of the barrel parts, and half the time put screws in the wrong place or forget to replace the connector plates. Rather than taking it back to them to have them butcher your phone more, take it to a reputable repair shop that offers a warranty on their work/parts and ask to keep the display assembly from the mall repair, then take the display assembly back to the mall and let them know it is defective and see about getting a refund of any sort. If you are going to attempt to fix it yourself, make sure you are sourcing your LCD from a good vendor who backs their parts with a lifetime warranty.

iPhone 7 Plus is not a great phone to cut your teeth on though, as they can be finicky and there’s a lot of ways to mess up that phone during a repair, so if you haven’t tried your hand at iPhone repairs before, a repair shop might be the safest bet.
