Can I put an iPhone 7 Plus button on an iPhone 6s phone

Can I put an iPhone 7 Plus button on an iPhone 6s phone? I have an iPhone 7 Plus that is beyond repair so I kept it for parts. My the home button on my iPhone 6s has stopped working so I was wondering if I could replace it with the button from the iPhone 7 Plus (even if the Touch ID doesn’t work).

No. These phones use a different style home button with different chips on the flex cable and the iPhone 7 home button fits in through the front of the phone and then screws in on the back, while the 6s home button fits in through the back of the phone and uses a bracket similar to other older model iphones.

Which models would be compatiable to replace the 6s with? Would any home button 6s and below work?

The only home button that will work with a 6s is a 6s or 6s-Plus.

iPhone 6 can use the home button from a 6 Plus and vice versa.

Unless you have another 6s or 6s Plus to pirate the home button from, your best bet is to just order a iPhone 6s home button (should cost about $3)

However, it is worth noting that TouchID will not work with any home button other than the one that came with the phone.
