Turn on tv,and it's bright for about 30 seconds, then gets darker. Reset tv,checked for updates,and still having problems. Tv is about 3 years old? Don t want to buy a new one,but seems everything is throw away now-a-days. Sad.

this could be caused by a bad lamp or a bad inverter. You do want to go ahead and check the lamp first. This video should help with that.
If that does not work let us know so we can try and get further into the wiring/power supply/inverter etc. Post some good images of your power supply/inverter with your question so that we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that
