Upgrade 9550 battery with 98Whr version?

Hey I own a Dell XPS 9550 with the 54Whr battery. I have very sub par battery life and have already replaced the battery with minimal improvement. I am considering upgrading to the 86Whr battery from the same model (I understand this removes the SATA drive) but have seen 97Whr batteries from later models. Will these fit in the same area or are there other changes to these higher capacity models that mean it will not be compatible?

Options

Yes, its safe but make sure as long as its output voltage & current values are same. Output voltage has more importance as higher voltage can damage your laptop. and the battery size must be same
