Replaced screen with original Home Button, home button doesn't work...

Just replaced the screen on an iPhone 7 Plus, I also transferred the Home Button from the original screen to the new one, but it doesn’t work now… The phone basically thinks there’s no home button and gives me the assistive touch home button.

Any help would be appreciated!

You will need to carefully inspect the Home Button and flex to see if there is any damage. Magnification here will help. It is easy to damage the flex when transferring the home button and it doesn’t take much to cause issues.

Unfortunately, there is no real DIY way to fix a Home Button, only Apple can replace it.
