Can I replace display using one from early G5 models

I have a cracked LCD and would like to replace it, as the computer still works great with an external display. I've found a cheapish iMac G5 1.8 Ghz (previous version) with a bad logic board and working display, so would like to try to fix mine, if the price is right.

Does anyone know if the 2 LCDs are interchangeable? Thanks.
