Is there a way to salvage my data?

So my iPhone decided to just shut down and its been stuck on the apple logo. I tried to update the iOS but it didn't work. Is there any way I can extract my data from the phone knowing that I don't have any backup. Thanks for your time .

Hey Ahmed

If the iPhone can still power on or display the Apple logo you should be able to put the iPhone into "Recovery Mode".

To do this you will need to power off the iPhone completely and hold the home button while you press the power button, after doing so the iPhone should display a message that says "Connect to iTunes". Connect the device to iTunes and you should see a message that says "This device is in Recovery Mode"

It will then give you the option to back up your data to transfer to another device, you can also restore the iOS to, this will backup the data and restore your iPhone

it just gave me two options to either update the iOS which I did but didnt work or restore which everybody told me specifically that it will erase my data

When you click the restore tab it doesn't begin erasing the phone, first it initializes, then ask if you would like to complete a backup, then after backing the device up is begins the extraction of the iOS

Don't worry about losing data, iTunes always completes a backup before any major change like so
