Fixed loud speaker on 6s plus. Now camera and flashlight won’t work.

**update**

I think this wire may be the problem.

Not sure what went wrong but after I replaced the loud speaker and put everything back in it’s place the cameras and flashlight aren’t working. Any ideas as to what I may have done?

Is your ribbon cable to camera and the connector firmly in place?

Thank you for the quick responses! I finally was able to find time to open it up a second time and wouldn’t you know it I think I found the culprit... knicked wire, and it’s the one leading directly to the ff camera and ear piece (which also doesn’t work I found out). I don’t understand how it effects the flash and rf camera though.. could someone explain that to me? I’d like to learn as much as I can for any future fixes that might come up.

The camera and flash are part of the same flex cable that houses the power button and volume buttons. A cable can be "knicked" during repair and easily make one or two things fail. First, you want to locate that comnection using your "Ifixit" guide, and make sure its still properly seated. Once reseated, (make sure your battery is disconnected) hold the power button in to full disharge the device. Reseat your battery and retest all. If you still experiencing issuses then your flex cable may need to be replaced. Depending on how deep you've gone into a phone you may want to consult a professional, however if you're comfortable with the device, and are using proper grounding techniques it's not a very complex repair. Just keep refering to your guide constantly, and keep your screws organized! Happy fixing!

Likely the rear camera is just bad or damaged, when it is the LED flash will not work. Also your loudspeaker replacement probably should have just been a grill mesh clean/replace. Unless water actually got into the speaker then it would explain why the rear camera failed.
