Why is my internet network not showing up on my laptop?

I just got Hargray internet installed today in my new home. My brother has two laptops and both connected to the WiFi with no problem. I have one laptop and my WiFi network won’t even show up in the network options on my laptop. All of the other nearby networks show up but my network will not. I’ve made sure airplane mode is off. I’ve made sure WiFi is turned on. I’ve disabled/uninstalled my laptops WiFi drive and enabled/installed it back. I’ve turned off the router and turned it back on. I’ve turned off my laptop and turned it back on. I’ve factory reset my laptop. Nothing has worked as of yet.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is your laptop capable of the 5Ghz wireless range? It sounds like maybe your laptop can't "see" the 5Ghz networks but can see 2.4Ghz networks. I did a quick search of the Dell Inspiron 3452 and I see online that its WiFi does NOT support 5Ghz.

2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are two different wireless WiFi frequencies... its kind of like having a radio that is AM only and can't pick up FM stations... your laptop doesn't have the hardware to "talk to" 5Ghz WiFi.

If this is the case you can either have the internet provider enable 2.4Ghz WiFi (if possible) or put in a USB adapter that supports it. There are lots of USB WiFi adapters out there that would support it or a newer laptop.
