Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 film cartridges keep getting jammed

Hello,

My Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 keeps getting jammed.

The first time the film cartridge got jammed, I wiggled it out, replaced the batteries, and reloaded a brand new film pack. As soon as I tried to take a picture from the new film pack, the camera jammed once again.

Would appreciate any advice or guidance to fixing this.
