How do you re-connect Tab#3?

I'm having trouble re-connecting Tab #3 during the battery replacement.

Does the connector have to be inserted all the way in, if so, please provide some ideas how to do so.

There is a tab that lifts up/hinged in the middle of connector 3. in some phones it's white or black in others it is missing completely. What is important is to flip the correct 1/2 up ( the side furthest from the power button) when up you'll be able to see the pins beneath... Slide the no.3 flex in- until you feel a resistance push the tab back down to hold flex in. You will still have about 1mm of flex and then the white line visible. It is confusing because we assume that the white line is where we push the flex up to. It is easiest to hold the display in half in your dominant hand, put your thumb over the flex to keep it flat/still and then slide onto board 1/2 in non dominant hand. You then use your thumb to close the hinge. All the best
