MacBook only starts when holding keyboard cable in heavily...

Why would a macbook only start when you have your finger on the keyboard cable? I can get it to start up fine sometimes and it boots up to OSX very quickly, but it doesnt always read the keyboard, and I took it to apple for them to install new keyboard under defect warranty and they did, but that didnt fix the issue...

Any ideas why it would do that, is the keyboard socket thing on hte logic board bad? Any suggestions to fix it without removing logic board and redoing the socket?

If you took it to Apple to fix under warranty and they didn't fix it, did you get an explanation and why didn't you hand it right back to them? Of course it's no longer under warranty now. right? If it is under warranty, hand it back to them. If not ask for a "warranty exception", since they didn't fix it the first time. They should have a record of your original warranty claim.

Apple officially doesnt know what they are talking about. THey called me and told me the new keyboard didnt boot it up, so they gave me the computer back. I get it back, and after i told them the left ram slot was faulty and the computer wont start with ram there, thats exactly where they left the ram and of course it didnt start. Computer works fine now. THanks
