I believe that the blinking light is normal when your ipod is plugged in. It indicates that it either charging or it is set to disk use enabled. you can try to disable disk use in itunes. Instructions for that are here unless of course your ipod has any other "symptoms" that you have not mentioned. Good Luck

Randy, is it a Mini or a Shuffle? Not really that important for the indicator lights, but if there are other problems with it, it will make a difference.
