How can I remove the songs and off my iPod onto a Chromebook?

I have 1171 songs ,469 photos on my 4th generation IPOD. I can get it plugged into my chromebook but it only recognizes 2 photos. Any suggestions?

If you bought the songs on iTunes, there is no way to get them off as they are DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected to prevent stealing.

For the photos and if the music is in MP3 format, it is tricky to transfer anything onto a Chromebook in my opinion. If you have a windows laptop, try it there or use a 3rd party software on windows.

tldr:

To transfer anything off an iPod, you basically need a Windows or Macintosh computer with iTunes installed.
