Replacing hard disk reading heads

Hi there!

I have broken reading heads on my WD10JMVW-11AJGS0. Which model can suit with same reading heads to replace? Didnt find this model on amazon/ebay so im trying to solve by this way. Thank you very much!

If you haven’t taken your drive apart STOP!

HDD’s are not something you can work on in a dust filled room! Even still this is beyond what an DIY’er can even attempt!

If you’ve already opened the drive you’ve likely killed it! Between the dust and finger prints as well as and moving the parts around you’ve likely damaged it beyond repair.

If the data is important to salvage you’ll need to send the drive out to a clean room and people who have the needed parts, like DriveSavers. Take a watch here on YOUTUBE: DriveSavers Recovery Tour

Then it would be cheaper to get a new drive and forget what ever was on it.
