iPhone does not want to turn on

I got a IPhone 6 here that does not want to turn on.

I can confirm the battery is still good because when I move the battery over to another IPhone it starts right up.

Battery does have juice in it, it is not dead.

The LCD is bad however but it should still turn on.

I don't think it's black-light damage because the phone should turn on if it was.

I've tried:

  1. Holding Power button and home button for 1+ minutes.
  2. Connecting to a Computer, (Computer does not detect phone)
  3. Use a brand new screen and LCD, still no luck.
  4. Left it to charge for more than 1 hour

Any ideas?

I appreciate it!

Blown U2 IC is culprit. need to have a micro solder technician replace the tristar!

What can cause it to blow ? Isn't the U2 IC chip responsible for charging?

by

It is responsible for the charging, data connection to the computer and providing information to the pmic chip. Using third party cheap cables will damage this chip.

You experience not charging, not turning on... very likely the U2 IC but could also be the a vcc main short somewhere or the PMIC chip blown. The only way to know is to have good use of multimeter and board schematics to pin point the problem. We do this daily and see vcc main shorts and u2 shorts all the time.

Also another thing to note need to look under the metal shields for liquid damage on logic board IC components

How does a cheap cable cause the chip to blow? Wouldn't it be the charger's fault rather than the cable?
