Quick battery drain but health high?

Hello,

I replaced the battery on my iPhone SE a few months ago. After doing a screen replacement a fortnight ago, I have encountered a few issues.

When dropped, the phone will randomly restart every few minutes for no reason. This is fixed by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

Yesterday, I began to notice that my battery is draining very fast, even on standby. According to the battery settings, it will last 3hrs on a full charge.

The battery health is very high, but it is definitely draining quickly.

Any thoughts? Should I replace the battery? The logic board is not damaged in any way near the connector.

Edit: The phone will also overheat when not doing anything. A reset has not helped.

Your replacement screen may be causing an excess current draw. Did the replacement screen come with the front camera and sensor flex pre-installed? Those can have lower quality flexes.

If the replacement came with the front camera pre-installed and you still have the original screen, I would re-install the original just to see if the problem is reproduced. That would tell you that you have an issue with the replacement screen. You could then try just the screen without the front cam flex to see if the problem is limited to that or if it is more screen/backlight related.

Thanks, I will try this later. I don’t know if this is related, but after a few months of using a 3rd party screen, the backlight dimmed. Since then I have tried multiple screens and they are all much dimmer than usual. When the phone is open however, the phone is very bright and is fully functional?

What do you mean by "when the phone is open"?

When the screen is raised from the device but still plugged in

Okay, that's what I thought but I wanted to be certain. In that case I would suspect something wrong with the installation, for example, something is out of alignment and applying pressure on the screen or it is simply a poor quality replacement screen.
