Blurry Grey Sceen Error on iPad Mini 3

Hi, so recently, I have been having trouble with my iPad Mini 3 and for some unknown reason, there are thick grey lines covering the screen. The colours seem to have distorted. It was working perfectly fine this morning, but when I picked it up this afternoon, suddenly the lines appeared and can't seem to go away. I don't know what's happening. I'm really worried, because it costs an arm and a leg to repair it, so I want to know if I really need to, or if there's an easier way to fix it.

I have seen many answers to this question, however none seem to work so far. I have not dropped it, and it has a case, if that helps.

I would be delighted if any of you could help troubleshoot it. Thanks!

Adding a picture of these grey lines to your question would help us understand the problem better.

However, issues on the LCD are usually caused by a bad LCD. At any rate, troubleshooting iPads (and iPhones) requires access to known-good parts and the first step would be to open up the device, inspect connections and look for obvious signs of physical or liquid damage. Once that is ruled out, then you have to replace the LCD to see if that solves the problem or not. If it doesn't, then the problem would be logic board related which would require a micro-soldering solution.

All of this is still less expensive than replacing the unit though.
