How can I replace 3.5mm/Aux cable of Superlux HD681Evo?

Long story short, the 3.5mm cable is broken and the headphone is not working anymore. Is there any way to replace/solder a new cable ? Any help will be appreciated.

Disassembling Over-Ear Headphone Sennheiser HD4199

cut the gasket and pull through the cable, then apply new, cable. check a local electronics supply store for new reinforcing gasket that will fit your hole.

Hey, thanks for your reply! So, I'm complete noob related to this stuff. Can you tell me what a gasket is ? btw, I can get inside the headphone by removing a single screw and the cable is visible. I don't know which cable goes where, so i can't solder it.

when im saying reinforcement gasket, i mean the cable attachment plug. its a piece of rubber thats used to mount cables to devices, ans gives it a reinforcement so it doesnt kink at the base of the cable.

if its you Aux cable thats failing, you will want to follow the cord that goes to the cable, and unsolder those connections.

It been 2 years since you asked the question. I have a possible solution which is remove the aux cable build in the headphone and cut off the 1m female aux head and solder the cable to the headphone. You can’t take off the 1m cable but you still can use the 3m cable that comes with the headphone.

Watch this video to see how to fix it.
