How can I fix my trackpad clicker?

I can use the trackpad to move the mouse arrow around. But when I click on the bottom part of the track pad nothing happens. Can I clean that or somehow fix this?

Sometimes a bulged battery can affect the functionality of the click button. Remove and check the battery then try the click button with the battery removed. If this is not the problem you may have to replace the top case (about $35 on ebay).

Can you adjust the tension screw on the white plastic Unibody MacBooks or does one have to replace the entire top case? If the tension screw can be adjusted, what screw driver is needed.

I have a client with a trackpad that doesn't click. The battery looks to be in good shape, not bulging.
