Why is my cold air only coming out of the top vents

My air works great but only comes out of the defrost vents. I've checked for vacuum leaks and couldn't find any. What do I look for next?

The 2000-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with thermostat control uses electronic doors to redirect the air flow. There is a way to pull codes from it and run diagnostic tests. But if it says door out of range, you need to pull the dash to fix it….. Its an all day job (and I’ve done 4-5 times….)

If you have the older cable operated design, its possible just a cable came loose (had that happen with a blend door on a Durango).

Beyond that, you are going to be digging behind the dash.
