Autofocus iPhone 6S can't focus

Autofocus can't focus with rear camera. This results in blurry pictures and "shaking" pre-view.

I have noticed that the lens in the rear cover has a scratch which probably causes this effect.

Should I replace the whole rear camera (and includes this replacement also the outside lens?) or is there an option to replace the rear lens only ?

the rear lens is integrated into the back housing for a 6S. it is, by all means, possible to do, but much more difficult to remove than most people give it credit for.

my suggestion would be as follows; order both pieces. (the lens would only be another 99c. or so.) but try starting with just the camera replacement, in hopes that it is a module failure, and check if that fixes the issue. if it doesn't, move forward from there.

Thx for you quick response. one question left.

Q: Iphone is remotly analysed by Apple Support and reported no hardware failures. Would you advise to skip the camera replacement and go for the rear lens only ?

no, i would not. all the wireless analysis does is throw a voltage to each component, and make sure they get a voltage back. ive had apple tell customers that their phone is unrepairable, then i proceed to replace the battery, and its good to go.

i would never take apple diagnostics as a solid answer.
