iPhone 6 Plus Ghost touch

Hello. I thought that my iPhone have touch disease but it has no gray flickering display. But touches itself. When I got to a local phone repair shop. The guy opened my iPhone to check its internals and then WE NOTICED THAT THE 5 SCREWS THAT SECURES THE DISPLAY DATA CABLES WERE ONLY 3! And the iPhone is also bent. The guy offered me to replace the screen and the rear housing for a total of $108! $44 for the rear housing and $64 for the screen. WILL I PAY $108 JUST TO REPAIR MY IPHONE OR I'LL JUST TRY TO BUY 2 SMALL PHILIPS SCREWS TO FILL THE GAP?! BECAUSE I'M NOT SO SURE THAT THE SCREEN IS ALREADY BROKEN. IT JUST HAVE A GHOST TOUCH BECAUSE OF INCOMPLETE SCREWS. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT TO TRY/DO? THANKS!

Even if you add the 2 missing screws it won't probably make any difference, they are there to secure connectors and shield in place and won't influence ghost touch. If housing is bent that's very much likely the cause of it, thus housing should be replaced or straightened as first thing. If ghost touching persists after that it's likely the screen got damaged along with housing or afterwards by sitting improperly in place and might need replaced too. Repair shop was most probably just on the right track to solve your issue at once.

By the way, remember to disengage caps lock key..no need to scream to be heard :)

The ghost touching can be about a lot of things.

If you have the right skills try to do somethings.

- Try a tempered glass and see if it stops

- Open iphone and try to put something stick to back of display (normally when you order a replacement display they come with a simple adhesive on the back of display that needs or not to be removed).

I had this problem once and with one or another solved me the problem. The ghost touching was because the display was touching on something on board and your static electricity make the ghost touching so when you put that paper or tempered glass it protects from static and problem is solved.

Regarding what you said if iphone is bend probably is touching and probably this can help you.

I hope it will
