Reliable digitizer (but for less than $69.99)

I have an iPod touch 3rd gen 32gb with an unresponsive touch screen. I had hoped to buy a replacement digitizer, and got one on eBay, only to have it not work when attached to the iPod. I am wondering if this is due to it being a shoddy aftermarket digitizer, and if so, if there's anyone that has found a reputable source for digitizers online somewhere - besides iFixit (no offense, but I'd love to not pay $70 for it).

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Anything that much is outrageous. Go to www.wirelesspartsinc.com. I own an iPhone Repair shop called SaveMyi and I have been using this provider for a while. Their parts are great and cheap! http://www.wirelesspartsinc.com/ipodtouc...

Also, their shipping from California to Colorado is 2 day for $6-8. Pretty awesome. :)

By the way, was your iPod Touch water damaged? Who did you buy the last digitizer from on eBay?

by

No, I'm pretty sure I never got it wet. The indicator is still white. The last digitizer I bought was this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...

I noticed that it was a different serial number than the original digitizer, but I don't know if that makes a difference. The original was 821-0856-A, and the one that I bought is 821-0908-01.

But if that site you linked to has been reliable for you, I'll go ahead and get one from them, thanks!!

No problem! I have spent over $1000 on parts and have hard a very small amount not work. One was a dock and one iPhone 4 digitizer/lcd. But they are good with parts. They ship them well protected too! I would double check the link I gave you to make sure it is the right one for your iPod Touch. Glad I could help you! :)
