My solder pad fell off when removing battery!

I was soldering my new battery onto the controller board, and the whole soldering pad where you solder the battery pins onto, fell right off. There's now a black oval on the positive side of the board where I tried to resolder the battery. Any fixes?? I tried resoldering it and the solder doesn't stay, it dries and sticks to the pin and not the board.

I "fixed" it. I made a huge blob of solder and poked the battery pins through and resoldered it to make sure it was making contact with the board. It works! I can play animal crossing now.

A couple of ways, one is to scrape the varnish off the trace until you see bare copper and try solder to that. The other is to follow the trace to find where it connect to another component that has a pad large enough to solder the battery connector. You will want to make sure that the battery is not moving around enough to pull on the soldered connection. Use a meter to check continuity to verify that you are on the correct trace.

So I scrape the bard until I see copper?

I think the copper is gone

The next solution is to follow the trace to the nearest component or pad that is directly connected to the missing pad. You may need to use a small bit of wire from a stranded wire to solder in place.
