Panasonic 32” LCD TV
The right side of the screen is a thick black bar - LCD may be going, can it be fixed or should I just buy a new tv?
Is this a good question?

@moe2059 This can be caused by bad cables or a bad T-con board as well. Depending on your TV’s model number you want to start by checking the ribbon cables going from your T-con board to your panel. Make sure there are no small tears etc. Check that they are inserted straight into the connector and that the connector makes proper contact. Furthermore apply some gentle pressure on the TAB's of teh panel and see if the image changes.

This can be a panel problem, a connection issue with the cable, or even a backlight problem. If you feel confident in opening the TV, open it up and re-seat the cable(s) going to the panel (both ends).
Update this with the results.
