Backlight problem, and the tester

Hello everyone, before starting I must tell you that I have already read several posts but I have not solved my problem.

The Apple Cinema Led 24 "has the problem of backlighting, I jumper the 3V bypassing the PWM but nothing, now the monitor tries to light up with very fast flashes that illuminate the display in an imperceptible, you can see the lights off that barely illuminate the monitor.

While testing with the multi-meter with the black lead to the ground and the red on one of the pins that goes on the display, the miracle happens and the display is accessed, remove the tester's tips and the monitor turns off.

Does the tester resist? I do not know, being impractical. The pin in question is the STR1

Now the questions are 2:

1) obviously if someone can help me solve this problem, maybe there is a resistance to be added?

2) I wonder if the bypass is necessary since I played the brightness controller

Thank you very much to everyone for your precious time that you will dedicate to me!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi did you managed to figure it out?

AS I read the instructions, you may have supplied to the wrong place, the 3 whole above the resistors shall be the one receiving the power, and on the other side of the panel the line down to the controller chip shall be cut, but I am double checking it now, as one of the 3 wholes have a direct connection to the monitor cabling back as i traced...

Hello, no I have not solved, being my hobby, I do not understand much of electronics, we can understand through images or patterns, because I do not understand English well and use the translator. Anyway, that scheme I found in another post always on ifixit, and they said it worked. The problem is that even if it worked, I would like to be able to raise the brightness of the panel, because at a minimum it seems to me little for the light of day.

Hi, I had a similar issue, the issue is the LCD panel, not the board, I dismantled an old iMac 27 which had GPU gone and I noticed that they share almost the same display. I had to swap the small card on top of the dispaly ( where Video and Function cable is attached (because the one on the imac display have no function cable), reverse the LED cables from left to right and swap the metal frame. It worked perfectly.

Hello, I have the same problem, when making the bridge with the 3 resistors light flashes as discussed above, probe the bridge with the resistors separately and with the first follows the flashing. with the second also follows the blinking but with the third (R0021) flashing lighted blinking 3 times and turned off, then disconnect the screen and reconnected and turned on normally, I disconnected the screen 10 times of the video connector and the power cord and now it always turns on. So far I've been working well for an hour.

Check the current being drawn by the LED strips

Overcurrent caused by ageing will trip the inverters
