Hi,

Have you tried a different compatible charger, different charger cable or even connecting it to a computer to see if it charges at all?

Use a magnifying glass and a strong light to check the phone’s USB charge port. Check that all the pins are there and that they’re all straight and parallel with each other. Also check that there is no lint etc. trapped in the enclosure.

If there is lint trapped in there, DO NOT use a pin etc to try and get it out, as you may damage the USB pin connectors or even cause damage to the internal components. Use a vacuum cleaner to try and suck out any debris. If it won’t come out, use a wooden toothpick to gently prise it out.

If the port seems OK try the following:

Plug the charge cord into the phone only. Do not plug the other end of the cable into anything. Whilst firmly holding the phone in one hand, grasp the plug of the cable and gently stress very gently try to move it from side to side and up and down to check if there is any movement in the USB port.

If movement is discernible (indicating that the USB port is possibly loose from the systemboard) or even there is no movement, the phone will have to be opened and the problem further investigated.
