Replacing home button with touch id part got from another device?

Hi,

My wife has an unlocked iphone SE and her touch id sensor is not working well. I also have another iphone SE but locked to simple mobile. Is it possible to fix her home button using any of parts from mine? Such as putting front panel and home button parts from mine to her SE... Seems like it's not possible since touch id sensor pairs with mainboard or something but I want to have correct info. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the Home Button is paired to the logic board so you can't replace the button and retain TouchID. Apple can do as part of a screen replacement though if that's important for you.
