Why won't my laptop charge?

My lenovo gaming laptop (Y50-70) is approaching four years of age and starting having charging issues last week. The computer would randomly stop charging at times for varying lengths of time. it could be 10 seconds to an hour of proper charging before it stopped. I decided to get a new charger to see if it was a charger issue but the computer is completely dead and will not turn on even when attached to the new charger.

Answer this question I have this problem too

This could be a few different things. The first being a battery. Depending on the computer it will not run off plugged power but only power from the battery, so if now power is going through the battery it won't come on. The second could be a port issue where you plug it in, if its damaged power may not be going through it. The third thing I can think of would be a damaged solder joint in the computer where the power leads hook up.

Do you think I should just bring my computer to geek squad at Best buy and see what they can do with it? Because the problem is most likely internal from what I can see.

Sorry for the delay. It is worth having a professional look at it compared to the price of a new computer.
