Screen is dim white and dosent respond to touch but sleep/home button

My screen stays dim white and I can't unlock phone even if I swipe where the unlock bar is at. I've ordered a new LCD and digitizer and it should be here soon.if I change glass & LCD will it work again? The sleep button only turns on dim white screen and turns it off when pressed(it dosent even make the clicking sound anymore) home button turns on dim screen too.vibrate works too, I can receive calls but I can't answer them.

Before you replace the glass and LCD, turn your iPhone OFF, Hold both Sleep and Home buttons at same time for about 5 seconds until iPhone goes OFF. When really OFF vibrate switch will not vibrate. When OFF carefully open iPhone with suction cup method, be very careful or you will damage Flex #3 or its connector. Once open reconnect Flex Cables #2 and #1 very carefully. Close iPhone and turn it on hopefully all will be fine. If still problems. Do a Hard Reset, hold Sleep and Home buttons at same time for about 15 seconds until iPhone hopefully turns on. If this does not fix your iPhone, then I guess next step would be to install the new digitizer and LCD and see if that fixes it. Good luck. Brad
