Check lint filter light is blinking and dryer won't run.

No matter which setting I choose , the check lint filter light starts flashing and the dryer won't start. I have reset the breaker, unplugged the dryer, cleaned out the filter and the vent in the back. An answer on another of this question said to check the heat sensor which I will do. Is there anything else to check for?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I am an appliance installer and had this same issue today. I had found out that I forgot to reconnect the plug going to the door. So the dryer thought the door was open. If anybody has done any work to it that might be the issue. Or could even be a bad switch for the door closed sensor.

Have you checked to make sure the sensor isn’t being blocked or has been unplugged? Find a maintenance manual for your specific dryer and take it apart IAW the maintenance manual

Late reply, but for everyone replying “Same issue” have y’all checked the sensor? There might be something on the sensor itself, or a short in the sensor wiring

2021- same problem. Both the line and the water collector lights are showing/flashing

I pushed the door sensor switch in a few times, closed the door tight and seems to have solved the problem.

I also pushed the door close switch several times and the dryer started working. Looks like I may need to replace the switch down the road, the contacts are probably degrading over time.

Just providing an extra data point. The "check lint screen" always flashes when the dry powers on. But after I long press the Start button, the dryer starts fine, and the light stops flashing

I woke up early to tackle this issue, with no luck with all that I tried. My wife came down and turned the dial to Normal and it worked fine. I guess the dial was on sensor mode.

I think these machines have a short or maybe defective, I disassembled it and found that pulled in a dryer sheet very close to the motor coil, which is a serious fire hazard

Mine wound up being a broken belt. Put a new belt on for $8 on ebay. Light not on anymore.

I watched a you tube video if you pull circuit board and look at back blown solder joint soldered jumper wire fixed. There is a you tube video on it. If you pull circuit board out of plastic box and see a burnt spot this is it. So happy

I had this issue after replacing the idler pulley and vacuuming out a whole lot of lint from inside the machine. There is a little white switch just below the belt drive that had a piece of lint stuck in it and holding the switch down. I removed the lint and, voila, it's running again.

First , I turned the power on to the dryer

Second. I removed the lint screen from the slot .

Third, I then pressed the start button with the lint screen still removed .

Finally, the dryer started right away without any error or resistance to start

After the dryer was on , I slid the lint screen back into placed

I had the same issue.

I would touch the mode I wanted then the start button and then the light would blink but never start.

Until I hit the start button a second time and then the dryer started up!

Hope this helps.

I had the same issue and tried numerous things to correct the issue. This is what is currently working for me:

Remove and clean the lint screen every time before starting and make sure it's seated properly.

Close the door and add pressure to it while pressing the start button.

Hold down the start button momentarily while the dryer starts then release the button.

Good luck.
