Where is the oil pan located?

My van is about 10,000 over due for an oil change and my parents want me to do it myself (i'm 16). I was wondering where the oil pan on it is. I looked the other day and found the oil filter, oil pan, and trans pan, but I'd rather not accidentally start draining out my trans fluid. I'm relatively good with cars, I've just never changed the oil in this vehicle before. The van has a 3.3L v6 driving the front wheels if that matters

Skippy722 you get an up for giving your engine size, most people don't do that. Make yourself an account at autozone.com They own All Data (The program most mechanics use in the US for repair procedures and cost estimates.). They have guides, teardown down and installation procedures - including torque requirements for most vehicles, including yours for free online. Welcome to the world of being a driver and vehicle owner.

Thank you ABCellars, I forgot they had that. With gas prices the way they are I might go get an old dirt bike and make it street legal... I should be able to change the oil this weekend, I'll post up a guide here.

The oil pan is located on the bottom of your engine. Locate the oil drain plug on the oil pan, just take a look at the picture. It shows what your oilpan looks like when you look up. Also not sure if you are using a jack to lift your vehicle or ramps, but whatever you use, set your parking brake and place something behind your wheels to avoid the vehicle from rolling back. SECURE your vehicle to prevent injury. Remove the drain plug and allow the oil to drain out. When it's done, reinstall the plug and be careful that you do not over-tighten it. Good Luck

Thank you oldturkey. I have jack stands I'm going to use to raise the front of the vehicle up, lock the parking break, and throw in my wheel chucks i have on the back wheels. What should I torque the drain plug back too?
