System broken after reset PRAM (circle with slash)

Hello!

I have the problem. I don't know why but something touched me to reset PRAM.

After this procedure the system does not start. There is a login window, the password is entered, the bar is loaded and at the end the crossed-out circle pops up.

I also have a system on an external disk but in this system internal hard disk is not visible, perhaps because it was a fu**in encrypted: /// Is there any chance to recover the data?

I care a lot about that.

I would be very grateful for your help.

This model was notorious about getting the hard drive I/R cable damaged right where it climbs over the last ledge and onto the optical drive. I would replace it. I also use a think mounting tape placed on either side of the cable to prevent the bottom from touching it. For a while even Apple was replacing it for free it was so prevalent.

Also hook up the hard drive externally while you have it out and then see if you can boot from the repair partition (hold down Option key on boot up and select it), then rum Disk Utilities on it. If the drive has failed, replace with a SSHD for a fine speed bump at small cost.

Yes, I know this tape problem. I have SSD. But I did not think about it because the problem occurred after the reset of the pram. However, now I think that this is very possible because in disk utility my disk is not visible at all (recovery mode and on bootable installer external disk) I can not even format it.

Thanks! I check the hd cable.

The folds also can cause the cable to fail. Don't over do it as it doesn't need a crisp fold.
