MBA won't turn on. No charge light on Magsafe charger

My daughter came home from school where her Macbook Air had been working fine. Not sure if it ran out of charge or she powered off. Have plugged it into the charger and there's nothing going on. Can't turn on the laptop. The charge light doesn't come on to the magsafe adapter charger. Have tried another charger that works and still nothing.

It had the logic board replace by Apple about 18 months ago, so I presume that's OK but couldn't say for certain.

Anything else I could try?

The charger was fine. Used it on my MBP and it worked OK.

Last night, after leaving for a couple of hours, unplugged, my daughter pressed the power button and it came back on! The screen had some dark areas on the lower left...looked like dark spotlights. But they disappeared after a couple of minutes.

So no idea what happened, but all appears OK for the moment. Does make me slightly worried that something is on the way out big time...I'll see how it goes.

You may need a new charger. Try cleaning the MagSafe connectors following this Apple T/N: Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters
