Kenmore Pro Refrigerator (by LG) stopped working - now working
Our 18 month old Kenmore Pro refrigerator with bottom drawer freezer stopped working about 10 days ago. Both the refrigerator and freezer compartments stopped cooling/freezing completely. We called for service (waited 5 days for the next available appointment) and the technician diagnosed a failed compressor. (Another 5 days for the part, and three weeks for the next service availability).
In the meantime, we plugged the refrigerator back in after the diagnosis as the electronic systems were still working, and we were using the water dispenser in the door.
Opened the refrigerator yesterday evening (have checked periodically as recently as a couple of days ago, and it had still been warm) and it was now cold. Same with the freezer. We placed thermometers in both compartments overnight, and they are registering 35 and 0 respectively.
So, wondering what to do. Faith in the warranty service company isn’t high based on what appears to be an incorrect diagnosis and terrible customer service.
Can a compressor behave erratically like this, or is it an all or nothing issue? What else might cause this?
Any advice appreciated.
Is this a good question?

AFSea- I’d like to know what the outcome was with your refrigerator. Would you please let us know the status and was the techs diagnosis correct?
