Why is my rifrigorator not working after changing water filter

Why did my refrigerator stop working after replacing the water filter?

I removed the filter and it sat over night without a filter till I replaced it the next day,

would this be the problem for it not working now?

I don’t think the two have anything to do with each other.

You might want to get us your make and model number and describe what is going on with the fridge and we’ll see if we can figure out a possible solution for you.
