iPhone 7 Plus keeps searching for Service

So my iPhone 7+ just keeps searching for service. I restored it and tried to activate it but it is saying on itunes that it couldnt identify iphone or so...

The IMEI is being showed on the iPhone hello page

The ICCID is unknown (when no sim inserted)

So the problem is: it keeps searching all the time for Service, also when there is no sin inserted! And when i insert my SIM card nothing is happening!

What could this be?

UPDATE: i just realised that when pulling in/out the sim card tray, the iphone screen does some weird movement looking like this

But from the right side to the ledt, 0.5cm upwards from the sim card tray...

Answered! View the answer I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hello,

My iPhone 7 was doing the same thing. What is your model number? If you are unsure of how to identify your model number or if your iPhone 7 has the model number A1660, visit this site. Also, if your iPhone 7 has the model number A1660, try to take it in to Apple to get it replaced. However, if they will not replace it, contact your carrier. My carrier replaced my phone under warranty free of charge.

My phone has been bought in EU Germany.

& it doesnt say no service. It is saying “ search “ all the time for couple hours ...

It's a hardware fault relating to baseband circuit I would assume on the board.

You will need to take the phone to someone that does board level repairs for iPhones.

by

Yes i do. Soldering and i can do reflowing.

Can you tell me where this circuit is located and what i need to do with it?

BB_PMU is the one you need to look out for.

Check BBPMU_TO_PMU_AMUX2 and check C5627_RF, C5729_RF, C5746_RF, C5752_RF for shorts.

I don't have much info on this, I've done only Tristar replacements on iPhone 7 and no further.

Paging @refectio for advice on what to check.

by

I don't recommend reflowing. If anything, you should reball the BBPMU.
