Screen replacement stopped working, however phone isn't broken.

Quite a while ago I bought a screen replacement online and put it together after my phone was damaged with water, everything seemed fine, no buggy issues no lines all good.

About half way through the day my phone starts to get a bit hot then out of no where the screen shuts off, there wasn't any animations it just went black.

I have tried restarting it and everything else I can think I just have no idea what to do, when I turn it on the screen doesn't turn on however I can feel vibrations when I type my password in and I'm pretty sure the phone its self still works.

I haven't got a clue what to do! (I've made sure there weren't any loose connections.) It does get pretty hot when I try to charge it.

Thanks in advance!

Is this the same phone you asked about earlier?

As I said back in April, the big problem with water damaged phones is latent issues. Eventually they rear their ugly head and bite you when you thought everything is under control. Looking back at your earlier question (Water Damage iPhone 6 DIY Fix), it appears you did try to clean the board with IPA (70%). Had you removed the shields when you did it? If not, then you don't really get to all the interesting bits.

At this point, if you want to try and save your phone (or data), I would recommend you send it to a shop that does micro-soldering/data recovery. It sounds like it may be only a backlight/lcd driver issue but with water damage, you never know.

Yep, it is the same phone I gave up on it for a bit but I just thought about giving it another shot. I did take off the shields when I cleaned out the phone. If the only solution would be taking it to a shop it looks like I'll be saying goodbye to it.
