I don't have a solution but your problem is probably due to Hulu and Netflix protecting their content and restricting it to specific devices. Apple's iPhone to HDMI adapter will not work with Hulu because of this content protection. Best of luck.
I have the same problem too. I called Netflix and they helped me trouble shoot the situation, but unable to fix the problem. They said this is common with the Smart TVs and engineers are working on resolving the issue. It's been over a week now and no resolve.
