iPhone 7 disables when exercising

Hi.

I have an iPhone 7 and I recently replaced the original screen because it cracked and ever since I did that when I go running and have the phone in my pocket it inevitably gives me the "iPhone disabled. Try again in 5 minutes" error message. I'm not sure why this is happening. I'm not touching the screen or attempting to enter my passcode. Could this have something to do with the screen replacement as I never had this problem prior to the repair? Is there a setting I'm missing that might keep this from happening?

Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Do you have the raise to wake feature turned on? This could be causing your screen to come on then while running the new screen could be more sensitive to touch.

It could also be possible that the screen is ghost touching from the movement of you running. Do you ever have any other issues with random clicks and the touch screen glitching? You can get a glitchy replacement part from time to time that'll need to be replaced.

Hi Brian,

I did have the raise to wake feature on. I've turned it off now so I'll see if that works this afternoon when I go for a run. Thanks for the tip.

My screen does have some minor jittering but it's been so minor that I've just ignored it.
