The question mark means your Mac cannot find a system folder. Your system could be corrupted or your hard drive has gone south. Insert you system installation disk and start up holding down the "C" key. Go to the second screen pull down menu to utilities > Disk Utility and select your drive on the left (if it appears) and see if you can repair it. If nothing shows up then you'll need to replace your drive. If that's the case let us know and give us the last three letters of your serial number(located in your battery compartment) and we'll get you to the correct hard drive type and installation guide.
